The demand for high quality products, combined with environmental restrictions, are the main characteristics of today's glass industry. Glassmakers therefore need to have information regarding process parameters and properties of the glass they are using. Online sensors which enable to obtain this kind of information at high speed, are discussed in this article, long with the available measuring principles.
