One Hundred Years Of Alvar Aalto

Alvar Aalto - an impulsive designer, intensive thinker, and one of the most famous names in modern architecture. However, while many people associate the architect with famous buildings such as his extraordinary Finnish Pavilion at the 1939 World Fair in New York, or his development 10 years later of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's student dormitories, or his simple and functional, yet stylish furniture that was created for the masses, very few people know about his works in glass. And yet the Aalto vase, for example, is perhaps the world's best-known glass objects of all time.
