OI has mounted an EU roadshow to highlight technical advances in glass containers, & their market development potential. The roadshow included participation in 3 exhibitions & OI's own Glass University, which is a custom-designed showcase focusing on the benefits of glass & the glassmaking process. The third OI Glass University was held at Hanover in Germany last November. Delegates received a thorough introduction to the future development of glass containers; how to get the best out of glass design; innovative & exciting ideas about colour, shape & decoration, new glass-packed products; global trends in consumer packaging research, glass sustainability; & seminars on customer service, glass marketing & glass process technical issues. Delegates also visited the OI plant at Rinteln.
