Numerical Simulation Of Bubble Behaviour In Glass Melting Tanks. Part 4. Bubble Number Density Distribution

In the final part of this study, the objective was to report on the numerical methodology which reflected the knowledge gathered in the previous parts on individual behaviour of bubbles and their effect on the quality of the final glass. This was accomplished by predicting the number density and size distrubution of bubbles within the glass melt and at the exit. Accordingly, through use of the proposed numerical model the bubble elimination capacity of a given glass furnace can be measured.
