Numerical Control Grinding And Drilling In-Line

The recent developments of the BEM Series of numerical control machines from Lovati Fratelli were on show at Vitrum 2005. The BEM 31, which can, says Lovati, grind and polish edges on shaped glass with internal curves, external curves, straight-line edges, and mitred corners, can be positioned in-line with Lovati's Drill 31, equipped with a double head to perform holes and routing. The BEM 31, as all BEM machines is, says Lovati, particularly suitable for processing low-emissivity glass types, as the surface of the coated glass sheet never comes into contact with suction pads, rollers, nor with transport belts. The machine is also equipped with a tool crib with automatic selection for tool withdrawal and deposit,a and electronic measuring system of glass dimensions. A maximum of 3 wheels can be stacked on each tool holder. See: www.lovatifratelli.com for more.
