Nox Reduction Potential For Glass Melting Furnaces

Different stragegies to reduce NOx formation were developed in a major research programme. The work showed that staged and flameless oxidation reduce NOx emissions substantially. Even at temperatures as high as 1600 deg C, NOx reduction potential is considerable. NOx output can also be lowered remarkably in applications where oxygen is used as an oxidant.
