As in many countries, the USA have many large glass companies that are discussed in terms of types of glass producers, quantities, and sometimes in the context of stock market performance for investment purposes. However, there are a large number of other glass companies, perhaps to the tune of several hundred, which have a smaller base of production and may be scattered around the east coast of the USA, or they are simply producing some exotic art glasses for various decorative purposes, or elegant shapes for some other useful applications. Many of these glass companies have been defunct in the past 100 years or so due to a variety of reasons, but their stories are not forgotten, or rather their historical significance is still a matter of intense deliberations among the concerned people. In this article, some of the stories from these small craft manufacturers will be briefly elaborated.
