Norway & Latvia Go Green Dot

Norway and Latvia are to introduce the green dot system, based on the German model, as a financing symbol for the recycling of packaging and are the first non-EU countries to do so. According to Euwid Verpackung, DSD AG in Cologne has announced that the green dot has become the world's most widely used symbol. Until now, the dot has been used in eight EU member states - Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Spain. (whole item)
