Noble Metals As A Source Of Continuous Scattering In Fluoride Glasses

Submicrometer scattering centres in fluorozirconate glasses were analysed in an analytical electron microscope. Spherical platinum particles were found most frequently; other morphologies and noble metals were also observed.
