Nihon Yamamura Glass: Environment-Friendly Bottles, Machinery And New Glass Technology

Founded in 1914, the company has an extremely flexible production system, technical development expertise & a wide selection of over 1,200 products. The company has the largest market share in Japan. Recent developments include the "Ultra-Lightweight Bottle", but the firm is also pushing the boundaries through developments such as automatic mould temperature control & non-swabbing technologies, paving the way for "Super Ultra-Lightweight" glass bottles. In order to preserve bottle contents, conventional amber-coloured bottles, which cut out UV rays, are often used. However, the bottle contents are difficult to see due to the dark glass colour. Nihon have introduced the "V-series" glass bottles, while being almost colourless, have UV ray absorbent mixed into the glass, thus protecting against UV damage yet presenting the contents in all their beauty.
