The Next Dimension Of Inspection Technology

At Glasstec 2010 exhibition, Heye presented its HiShield Ranger camera check detection system, where inspection is carried out in a rotary station and is designed to fit into the HiShield SmartLine or to retrofit many existing starwheel machines on the market. Several images are recorded during one rotation. Each camera image consists of up to 30 partial images, which are evaluated with respect to check reflections. Basically, the Ranger can be installed on one or two stations with a matrix camera featuring up to 30 sensor heads and a maximum of 48 LED illumination units. 70 camera images per sensor head allow up to 2100 images per container. Compared to earlier systems, key benefits include highly reliable check detection, set up and job changes are faster and more reproducible, while complex evaluation procedures are possible. In addition, a combination of stationary sensors with flexible sensors and an enlarged visual range is provided compared to standard sensors. Furthermore, retrofitting of existing starwheel machines is possible in many cases. For more information please visit: www.heye-international.com
