Ashton International has perfected a new roller design which, it says, keeps batches of glass of any thickness perfectly spaced and symmetrical right through the washing and drying process. Glass thickness changes are at the push of a button. Glass sizes can be totally random within a batch, and sizes as small as 12" x 6" can be accommodated. HWPRO horizontal washers are extremely compact high speed machines with two upper and two lower pre-spray bars, two pairs of low-E compatible cylindrical brushes, a final rinse zone, pre-drying and final drying, all within an overall length of less than two meters. According to Ashton, the machine washes and dries at a speed of 12m/minute, with perfect results on all known glass types, including PPG Solarban, with its wash-off protective coating.
