New Types Of Hollow Glass Blocks

Glass blocks, made at the Skopinsk Plant, are currently being widely used for providing light in buildings. Walls made from such blocks, in relation to lighting techniques, are much better than divisions made from double window glass. However, there appears to be a drawback in the use of walls & divisions made from glass blocks in that they produce severe eye strain. This work explains the effect of brilliance & intensity of the wall surface on the visibility of fine details, to find a method of dealing with the negative effects of brilliance & intensity & to give recommendations on the rational use of the glass blocks made at the Skopinsk plant.
