New Technologies For Oxygen Use In Glass Container Production: A Technical And Economical Overview

Oxy-fuel technology for glass melting was introduced at the beginning of the 90s. The main reason was the necessity to respect tighter limits for emissions of NOx in the atmosphere. This paper investigates why the high potential of this technology has been limited and the reasons for its partial success, then looks for new solutions.
