New Technical Passport For Glass Products

From 2005, glass products intended for use in the construction sector will be legally required to carry a CE mark. This will show that these products comply with CE product standards. A transition period of 21 months after official publication of the European Product and Test Standard (EN) will apply in which glass construction products that do not conform to CE standards may still be sold. Thereafter, all glass products must comply with CE product standards and anyone selling glass products not CE marked will be violating the law. TNO (Eindhoven) is the notified body for CE marking. They can be contacted on: email: glass-advise@tpd.tno.nl
