Carbone Lorraine, designs and manufactures a complete product range for hot glass handling under its leading brand name "Cerberite". The products combine metallic hardware and contact consumables made from specialist carbon, graphite and composite materials, which have proven themselves to be a more user-friendly alternative to other handling materials. Its latest development is the moulded C1 parts for use at both the sweep out and transfer position. The C1 material is favoured by glass plants for its ability to withstand hostile environments & because it does not absorb oil. Normally, C1 material would be supplied in plate form or cut to size pieces for customers to fabricate to their own requirements. Now these parts will assist in reducing initial fabrication time and reducing downtime when parts are in need of production refurbishment.
