New Patent Assigned To Emhart

A machine for inspecting rotating glass containers with light source has been invented by Amir R. Novini, Richard A. Sones & Richard D. Diehr of the USA. US Patent No. 7,541,572 was issued on 2 June 2009, assigned to Emhart Glass S.A., Switzerland. According to the abstract released by the US Patent & Trademark Office: "A machine for inspecting glass containers rotating at an inspection station. A camera images an area of interest on the glass container & continuous illumination of that area is provided by strobing a light source a number of times while the area is imaged on a camera the entire period." The original application was filed on 23 October 2006.
