New Innovation In Glass Packaging For Milk

New innovations in glass packaging for milk, " a pure packaging material for a pure product", are described with respect to recent need to meet changing consumer shopping behaviour and the need to respond to challenges from other packaging materials, such as plastics. Advantages of the use of glass are discussed and include the following: inert, impermeable, recyclable and reusable medium; unique shape for easy handling and pouring; enamelling techniques can be used for attractive on-bottle advertising and public information; cost-effective returnable system (as compared to plastics bottles which are not readily returned as they are unstable and lack weight); and glass strength and durability withstands high speed refilling and high temperatures used for cleansing and washing.
