New Float Glass Plant For Uae

The Saudi National Company for Glass Industries and Saudi Arabian glass manufacturer Gulfguard Co. (part of US Guardian Industries) will invest a total USD 110M (EUR 94M) to build a float glass plant in the United Arab Emirates, the two companies announced at the beginning of December 2005. The plant will be have a daily production capacity of between 600 and 700 metric tonnes. The location of the plant is still to be decided.
