New Float Facility For Azerbaijan

A new float glass facility is being built in Baku, Azerbaijan, according to a recent release from the press service of the country’s Economy Ministry. Baku-based AzerFloat has commissioned German company HORN Glass Industries AG to construction the site in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SKSP/SCIP). According to The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan the new plant will cost €89 million and will produce 8 million sq/m of sheet glass a year. "The enterprise will be commissioned before the end of 2018," the MoE said in a statement. The AzerFloat factory will meet domestic demand but will also be able to export under brand Made in Azerbaijan.
