New Eu Rules On Energy Efficiency Are Good News For Pilkington

A new EU Directive coming into force 2007 is expected to revolutionise the way homes are bought, sold & rented in the UK & boost demand for "smart" energy-saving glass. It amounts to good news for Pilkington, one of the world's leading manufacturers of float, coated, rolled, laminated/toughened glass products. Its innovative K Glass reflects heat back into a property, reducing energy wastage while letting in the sun's heat. Energy performance certificates will be introduced as part of the EU's energy performance of buildings directive, coming into force in June & which will have significant implications for the specification of energy-saving products, including energy-efficient glazing. The certificates will rate the energy performance of each property on a scale of A-G.
