Crystal glassmakers supplying customers in the US should change their warning labels to include information about the potential dangers of handling the products and not just of consuming food or beverage kept or served in crystal products. The International Crystal Federation says it has been concerned that Proposition 65 cases alleging lead exposure from crystal glassware could be extended to the mere handling of crystal giftware, lighting and jewellery. Now, the Attorney General of California has approved changes to warning labels to include handling, as well as eating or drinking from, lead crystal items. ICF members can find full details of the new warning lables on the ICF website: icf.rutgers.edu/
