New Ceo For British Glass Manufacturers' Confederation

British Glass has announced that Dave Dalton is to be appointed CEO of the British Glass ManufacturersConfederation, James Chisholm as CFO & John Stockdale is to be promoted to the position of Environmental Director. These moves are seen as critical in response to meeting the diverse & challenging needs of the glass industry in these globally difficult economic times. Following a reassessment of the needs of the industry, the Council & former DG David Workman mutually agreed a way forward for the Confederation. As a result Workman left British Glass at the end of Feb. British Glass President,Stephen Pollock-Hill said:"The modern manufacturing trade association needs a comprehensive understanding of issues & the restructuring of British Glass will enable the organisation to service the future needs of the glass supply sector at national & international level." Speaking about the appointment Dalton said: "Im delighted to be given the opportunity to build new links with industry and key stakeholders as we look to refocus our efforts where they matter most, in delivering unrivalled quality of service, excellent representation and tangible benefits right across the glass community. The glass industry faces many issues and Im confident that we can meet those challenges with the professional team of people that we have here."
