The Need For Homogenous And Well-Conditioned Glass For The Press-Blow Process Using Automatic Is Machines

This article describes the reasons why it is important to use homogeneous glass during the various processing phases, and in particular for narrow neck press-blow containers when using automatic IS machines. A fundamental part of the process are the operations of thermal equalisation carried out by mechanical stirrers to obtain a homogeneous glass gob and uniform distribution, thus reaching good production levels.
