National Glass & Crystal - Net Loss For First Half 2004

Egyptian glass and crystal maker, National Glass & Crystal Co., posted a net loss of EGP 8.17M for the first half of 2004, down 36% year-on-year. The firm posted a 15.5% increase in net sales to EGP 44.36M, together with similar rise in the cost of goods sold and sales costs to EGP 26.54M and EGP 543,000 respectively. As a result, gross profit grew to EGP 17.27M (EGP 12.85M). The company's expenses remained stable at EGP 25.96M, while interest income increased to EGP 507,000 (EGP 343,000).
