MSC's I-CARE system is made up of: One (or two) high resolution cameras installed alongside the conveyor just after the forming machine, equipped with a cooling system adapted to the high temperatures common at this point in the line. Their size is another of the system's features, around 25cm wide, taking up very little space alongside the conveyor, making it possible to position them easily in confined spaces; An air-conditioned electronic data processing unit connected to the camera by a fibre-optic cable long enough to install the camera up to 50 metres away & accommodate any line configuration & operating mode. The unit features a screen for displaying all the information operators will need to take immediate action on the forming machine; and, an Ethernet-connected remote unit for monitoring one or more process units (eg a furnace with several lines).
