Mould Engraving Software

Rexam Glass is using Total Modelling CAD/CAM computer aided design and manufacturing software package from Delcam to help it engrave bottle moulds to achieve embossing and other relief-adding decoration. The embossing and de-embossing opportunities given by the software give Rexam the latest addition to its extensive range of in-house decoration activities. The software saves Rexam the time and expense of hand-engraving moulds and allows better consistency over a long range of moulds. Mould engraving also helps quality control because mould numbers and other information can be embossed onto each bottle to help locate the source of any moulding problems. (whole item)
