Mould Cleaning Using Ultrasounds

The cleaning of accessories for the production of hollow glass items can now be carried out using ultrasonic-assisted cleaning equipment developed by Ecotecne in collaboration with Henkel. The SC7 Light, says the Italian firm, uses a combination of both chemical and mechanical action, brought about by the high-cavitation effect induced by piezoelectric-generated pulsed ultrasounds. The cleaning process offers a faster microcleaning/molecular process compared to traditional sandblasting and can be used on to any metal, as well as any kind of glassworks; wine; beer; and perfume-bottles; housware; jars; lamps, and more.
