In 2008, M E Schupp established the integrated production of high-temperature molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements for 1700 and 1800 deg C. This article gives a brief overview of the products in terms of processing, shapes and sizes that are available, differences in quality and applications within the glass industry.
