Modern Tools Improve Traditional Container Forming

Light production blow and blow (LPBB) technology was introduced in 2004 by Sklostroj Turnov & GTI Hamburg as a joint development. It is, in essence, the blow and blow process with vacuum assist that is well-known across the container glass industry. What sets LPBB apart is the application of state-of-the-art technology to its basic components; in particular the patented vacuum generates developed by Sklostroj Turnov. This device enabled the day-to-day use of vacuum-assisted finish and parison forming in the blank mould, eliminating the weaknesses that prevented the widespread application of this technology. This article explains how LPBB technology is improving the process with the introduction of modern tools.
