A Modern Furnace Concept For Lead Crystal Production

Before considering a suitable design for a modern melting furnace for lead-containing glasses, it is necessary to consider the demands placed on such an installation and evaluate their relative importance. On the basis of these demands, Sorg has developed a concept for the melting of high quality lead crystal glasses. This paper describes the concept and explains its evolution.
