The fluorocarbon market represents the greatest consuming sector for hydrofluoric acid (HF), the manufacture of which is the largest end use for fluorspar. It is now clear that future demand for fluorspar will be determined by the performance of fluorocarbons (FC), which, according to a recent presentation by SRI Consulting are using increasing amounts of fluorine.
