Making A Point With Colour

German inks company Marabu, in co-operation with container glass designers Rastal, have developed a new ink system for drinking glass applications. The Ultraglass UVGO ink system delivers brilliant colours for greater decoration possibilities. This ink technology offers benefits for the design and refining of drinks glasses, small cosmetic bottles and for flat glass used for indoor applications. With the establishment of the recent EU packaging directive for container glass printing, UV-curable screen printing inks have become increasingly important. UV inks now come in formulations that are free of heavy metals and the UV curing process exploits energy savings and provides an almost unlimited range of brilliant colour shades.
