Machine Development To Focus On Safety

The IS machine is long established and represents nothing new to the glass industry. Born an almost embarrassing number of years ago, it remains the queen of glass container manufacturing equipment. Its requirements are simple, with some care and a little lubricant, it will fill the lehr with good quality bottles and will not let the glassmaker down. With the developments of the last 20 years having increased production capacity and reliability, in this paper the author suggests that the next wave will improve the safety and simplicity of glassmaking.
