Low-Temperature Tensile Deformation Of Flat Glass Containing Metal Particles To Generate Dichroism

A model of particle deformation was developed first to describe the glass deformation theoretically. Models of similar deformation processes, such as glass fibre drawing, could not be used because of the higher tensile stresses, lower velocity and temperatures, and the rectancular cross section of the glass at the low-temperature deformation. Therefore, a hydromechanical model of the glass deformation has been developed for these special process parameters. The model is described in this paper.
