Lithium Minerals For Glassmaking

Lithium is used as a batch ingredient in several glass industry applications, including TV tube manufacture. As a flux, it has also been used to increase the effective capacities of container furnaces, lowering the viscosity of the melt which can cut both melting temperature and time needed for refining.
