On-Line Viscosity Measurement

A new on-line system for measuring viscosity changes in the glass melt has been introduced. The system analyses the dependency between the physical behaviour of molten glass and a harmonic vibration of a ceramic rod, which is partly immersed in the melt. Practical tests under industrial conditions have led to remarkable results.
