On-Line Engineering Tool For Quality Glass Production

The Linde Gas Division of the industrial group Linde AG, has worked with glass industry on-line information provider, Ogis GmbH, to set up an on-line glass engineering software tool on the glassglobal.com website. Access is available 24-7 for glassmakers to analyse, calculate and plan their production optimisation very quickly. On-line since last December, the analysis tool has been integrated into the engineering section of the www.glassglobal.com website. The four major components of the online tool are furnace; batch; glass; and energy. There is also a mass balance component. Each module can be used independently or in combination with another module.
