Lightweight Glasses Require Studies Of Brittleness Properties

Very few studies are conducted on brittleness of glass. Unlike other mechanical properties, the concept of brittleness is not well-defined. To understand the effect of composition and properties of brittleness, various glasses were studied with the intent to explore the possibility of decreasing the brittleness of glasses.
