[Libbey China] Building Of Factory In Langfang Begins

Libbey Glass Co begun construction of a new plant in the Langfang Development Zone in north China's Hebei Province in September 2005. Libbey Glass (China) Co Ltd, inaugurated in December 2004, will involve a total investment of US$50M. On completion, the new enterprise is expected to produce 96M items/year. Founded in 1818, Libbey manufactures mainly household glass and tableware. The company exports products to more than 75 countries and provides technical support for other tableware producers worldwide. (whole item)
