[Legislation] Soft Drinks, Bottled Water & Fruit Juice - Exploitation & Marketing Of Natural Mineral Waters

2009/54/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 June 2009 on the exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters was published in the Official Journal of the EU, L164/45, 26/06/2009. This Directive recasts Directive 80/777/EEC in the interests of clarity, due to substantial amendments. It also lays down the terms on which similar products imported from third countries may be allowed to enter the EU as mineral waters, stipulates that the containers used for packaging natural mineral waters have suitable closures, sets out the additions and derogations to the General Labelling Presentation and Advertising Rules, and makes compulsory the inclusion of the statement of analytical composition.
