El Nasr Glass & Crystal Company was founded in 1932 by Mr Yassin, the "father" of the glass industry in Egypt. The company was Egypt's first industrial glass producer, starting out with the manufacture of hand-blown domestic glass. Over the last 56 years, the company's product range has expanded rapidly to cover bottles, ampoules, sheet glass, tableware and ornamental glass. With a consistent annual turnover of around E£140m, the Egyptian company claims to be the leading glass producer in Africa and the Middle East.
