Laser Marking On Beverage Glasses

Laser Lines, a UK-based distributor of industrial and scientific lasers and accessories suitable for marking curved glass, thanks to specialist software and a simple stepper motor. Laser marking steeply curved surface is difficult, even for three-axis heads. Line of sight issues eventually become a problem due to the geometric constraints of the surface being marked. This means that marking the circumference, or even the sidewall of a cylindrical object, is impossible with stationary markers. With Synrad's WinMark Pro's radial bitmap marking feature and a simple stepper motor, steeply curved surfaces or a circumference can be marked, suing a standard Synrad FH flyer marking head. The design means the beam is perpendicular to the part surface and the mark is centred under the marking head to maintain best possible focus.
