Laser Engraving System For Coding And Marking

MSC has introduced a hot end laser engraving system to mark a code, either data matrix or alphanumeric, on each glass container. Decoding can be automatic or can be done manually through a hand-held decoder, allowing traceability throughout the life of each container. The system is positioned on the high speed conveyor between the IS forming machine and the annealing lehr. Thanks to a simple connection with the IS machine and automatic synchronisation, the laser engraves necessary information onto each container. The code is compact and precise and is marked onto the surface of the glass. The system promises high quality marking without causing cracks or checks. The main advantage of this system is the fact that the encoded marking is redundant, secure and resistant, allowing for very high decoding performances. See: www.msc.fr for more.
