Laser Drilling Thin Film Solar Glass

Lasers are widely used for various glass machining processes, such as cutting, marking, welding and in-glass engraving. Drilling solar glass by laser represents a different approach, with several advantages over conventional drilling techniques used in the thin film PV industry. In this article, the author discusses the role for lasers for the drilling of thin film solar glass substrate.
