Large, All Synthetic, Pcvd Preform Manufacturing

This paper was presented at the 10th European Optical Communications and Networks Conference (EFOC/LAN '92) in Paris, France, in June 1992. It describes how production rate and preform length of fibres manufactured using Plasma-activated Chemical Vapour Deposition (PCVD) can be increased by applying hybrid technology.
