Laminated Safety Glass With Densely Cross-Linked Eva-Based Interlayer Loadbearing Capability

A range of EVA-based interlayer film products called EVASAFE, developed by Bridgestone Corp., Japan, is presented. Their unique feature is a densely cross-linked molecular structure in the laminated state. Due to this structure the optical, chemical and mechanical properties of these materials are very stable at all climate conditions. The properties of laminated safety glass with EVASAFE under static load are discussed. A remarkable feature is the elastic limit at high temperatures, indicating a finite shear modulus for permanent load.
