Laminated Glass From Thermally Tempered Glass - An Ideal Application For Arcon Topview

Anisotropies in tempered glass are a known but unloved phenomenon that can negatively influence the appearance of facades, for example, in certain daylight conditions. Often streaks or leopard like patterns are visible in such glass that can appear either as shades of grey or as coloured effects in the case of coated glass. For more than 70 years, this characteristic of tempered glass or heat strengthened glass has been considered "natural." Even in standard documentation it is described as compliant with standards. In autumn 2011, Arcon presented a new product - Arcon Topview - that complies with all the characteristics of tempered or heat strengthened glass, but at the same time is free of visible anisotropies, as explained in this article.
