La Opala - New Plant

Indian crystal tableware manufacturer La Opala RG Ltd is to set up a greenfield state-of-the-art plant at Uttaranchal for around INR 350M, in order to meet growing demand. The new plant will be funded through a combination of debt and equity and is expected to begin commercial production spring 2007. Capacity of the plant will be around 4000/tpa. La Opala also has a factory at Madhupur in Jharkhand, making around 3500/tpa. With innovative designs and strategic pricing, La Opala has cut across different segments and maintained its market share. The company also exports to Europe and the Middle East.
