Kommerling And Strathclyde Glass - Part 3 En 1279 Accreditation

Strathclyde Insulating Glass Ltd announced it has achieved Part 3 accreditation under the new EN 1279 regulations, in partnership with Kommerling. This new EU legislation ensures that insulated glass (IG) units meet stringent quality & environmental standards, & Strathclyde Insulating is the first Scottish manufacturer to receive this award. In addition to ensuring the quality of the sealant, Strathclyde has made considerable investments at its plant in Hamilton. The company has installed a fully automated gas press on its automated manufacturing line that ensures the sealant is applied to the IG units under stringent control. Glass Products manager at Kommerling said, "We have worked with Strathclyde for over 10 years & are delighted that the quality of our sealants has been instrumental in helping achieve this high level of recognition.
